Where Blue Shield of California Theater - Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco, CA
Smuin Ballet's The Christmas Ballet is an annual holiday tradition, performed at the Blue Shield of California Theater at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Created by company founder Michael Smuin, it blends classical ballet technique with contemporary movement and popular culture flair.
The program brings back the festive favorites that return every year, and this season adds a new piece by Company Artist Maggie Carey. Amy Seiwert is also a choreographer on the show. You don't need to know a plié from a pirouette to enjoy it.
Adult tickets run from $25 to $130 depending on the tier. Select San Francisco performances are ASL interpreted or audio described, and one evening performance is LGBTQ+ Night. The show is open to all ages and suits ballet fans and holiday-show audiences alike.
