Where Civic Park, 1365 Civic Drive, Walnut Creek, CA 94596
Walnut Creek on Ice sets up an open-air rink in Civic Park, surrounded by twinkling lights and festive holiday music. Besides skating, Frosty's Summit Ice Slide is there for tubing, and rinkside fire pits are there for warming up with a cocoa.
Ice skating and the ice slide are each $20 per person, and sessions run 90 minutes. Ice skates and gliders are available to rent on a first come, first served basis. Want a little more comfort? The Rinkside Experience lets you reserve a fire pit by the rink to sit around and sip cocoa, and those fire pits are the warmest seats in the park.
The whole operation is cashless: book online, or pay on-site with an approved digital payment method. It's a good outing for families and friends looking for outdoor holiday fun.
