Winterfest Sausalito sends a procession of brightly illuminated boats along the Sausalito waterfront, then caps it off with fireworks over the water. Watch from Gabrielson Park or the open waterfront park spaces.
The parade is free, and it goes ahead rain or shine. Premium reserved seating may be purchased if available, but you don't need it to enjoy the parade. The waterfront and park fill up early in the afternoon, so arrive early or have a backup viewing spot in mind.
Skip the parking hunt: Golden Gate Ferry, Golden Gate Transit, and Lyft all serve Sausalito, and arriving by ferry fits the nautical theme. Dogs can't run loose in city parks or public spaces (the Sausalito Dog Park next to MLK Park is the exception). Boat owners can enter the parade by submitting an application through the Winterfest Sausalito site.
