The Walnut Creek Historical Society hosts an outdoor meet and greet with Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the Shadelands Ranch Gazebo. It's a simple, festive visit, well suited to families with young children.
Photos are do-it-yourself here: bring your own camera and snap your own shots with the Clauses. The gazebo makes a fine backdrop, and you get to pick the angle.
Admission is $5.00 per person, and infants 12 months and younger get in free. Pets aren't allowed. Parking and the entrance are behind the museum off Via Monte. From downtown Walnut Creek, turn left on Via Monte, then left into the lot across from Safeway (look for the 2700 sign), and drive through the lot until you're behind the museum.
