Where Central Park, 50 E 5th Ave, San Mateo, CA 94401, United States
San Mateo On Ice puts 11,000 square feet of real ice in Central Park, an outdoor rink where you can skate in the daytime sunshine or under the stars at night. Skaters of every level are welcome, whether solo or with family and friends.
Skate rentals come with admission. Beginners can rent a Skate Buddy, a plastic walker that glides along with them on the ice, for an extra fee in one-hour blocks. Public skate sessions start at $24.61 and are for ages 4 and up.
Non-alcoholic drinks are fine to bring; outside food is only allowed with a private tent. Tents hold up to 40 people for two hours and book online, and for private ice time with the whole venue, call the rink. The rink stays open in the rain but closes if conditions become dangerous, and all ticket sales are final, with no weather refunds.
