San Francisco Christmas Guide › San Francisco Christmas Activities 2026
The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce throws a free community celebration on Lafayette Plaza, with a visit from Santa, rides on the Lafayette Express train, and the official holiday tree lighting ceremony.
Arrive early to catch Santa's arrival, then stay for your free visit with him. There's also live musical entertainment, holiday crafts, holiday treats, and one-of-a-kind photo opportunities. The train rides are free too.
It's a festive, family-friendly event, best for families with young children. Treats are on hand, but for a full meal, plan to stay in downtown Lafayette for dinner afterward. The Dana Green Team and Branagh Development sponsor the celebration.
