San Francisco Christmas Guide › San Francisco Christmas Activities 2026
Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek fills with music, entertainment, and holiday cheer for an evening built around two highlights: a parade of lights through the shopping center and a Tree Lighting Ceremony led by Santa Claus.
Find a good spot for the parade, then stick around for the main event. Santa does the honors at the tree lighting, which seems only fair given how much he knows about lights. Music and entertainment fill the plaza throughout the evening.
It's a festive, lively night for families and holiday-season visitors, and open to all ages. Since it all happens at a shopping center, it's also a handy excuse to get a little gift shopping done while you're there.
